MAGPILOT, as a system that uses c fields and electromagnetic waves to locate tracking targetsas,it provides unobstructed flexible sensors that can be integrated into rigid and flexible medical devices such as endoscopes, catheters, and ultrasound probes.

The Magpilot can be used to non-invasively track instruments in twisted anatomical tracts. Main Components:

1. Field Generator (FG)
Emits a low-intensity, varying electromagnetic field and establishes the position of the measurement volume.The FGs feature plug-and-play functionality with the System Control Unit.

2. System Control Unit (SCU)
Controls the field generator, collects information from the SIUs, calculates the position and orientation of each sensor, and interfaces with the host computer.

3. Sensor Interface Unit(SIU)

Amplifies and digitizes the signals from the sensors. Up to two SIUs can be connected to a single SCU. Each system can host four 6DOF sensor/tool or eight 5DOF sensors/tools.

MAGPILOT is equipped with sensors of different sizes to meet the positioning requirements of 5DOF or 6DOF. For those that do not require spin freedom (such as needles), 5DOF sensors can be selected. The sensor has the excellent characteristics of high performance and small size, and can be adapted to meet different integration requirements.
