What are the main differences between optical positioning and electromagnetic (EM) navigation systems?

Optical systems excel in accuracy and are ideal for procedures with a stable, unobstructed line-of-sight, while EM systems offer flexibility in environments where line-of-sight is challenging. Each system has unique advantages depending on the surgical context and requirements.

●EM Navigation: Employs electromagnetic fields generated by a transmitter to track sensors embedded in surgical instruments or patient markers.

Are these navigation systems compatible with existing surgical navigation systems or surgical robots?

Yes, Aimooe’s navigation systems are designed to be highly compatible with other brands' surgical tools and systems. By utilizing industry standards like DICOM for imaging integration and providing flexible APIs for data exchange, these systems ensure seamless interoperability. Aimooe’s modular design and calibration options make it adaptable to various surgical tools and platforms, including third-party navigation systems and robotic surgical devices.



Are Aimooe products sterilizable?

For optimal performance and patient safety, all Aimooe products requiring sterilization should be processed according to standard protocols prior to surgical use. Consult individual product manuals for detailed sterilization instructions.

Can the system be upgraded as technology advances?

Modular designs allow for future software updates and hardware integration without a full replacement.



Does the optical and electromagnetic positioning system support integration with robotic arms or surgical navigation software?

Yes, both optical and electromagnetic positioning systems can indeed support integration with robotic arms and surgical navigation software, but to achieve this integration, specific interface files and protocols are required to ensure compatibility and proper communication between devices. These files involve standard communication protocols and API interfaces that allow different systems to share data and adjust settings. Aimooe has professional technical support to help with clients.



What is the installation and training process like?

Aimooe provides online or on-site installation and comprehensive training for clients.



 Are these systems approved by regulatory bodies like FDA or CE?

Currently, our optical positioning systems and marker spheres are CE-certified, but they are not yet FDA-approved. As a supplier to surgical robot integrators, our role is to provide optical positioning systems and components. The certification and regulatory approval for the complete surgical robot solutions are the responsibility of the surgical robot solution providers.



Do you offer custom solutions or OEM services?

Yes, we provide custom solutions tailored to your needs. We can also offer OEM services. Please let us know your specific requirements.

2024

Open the international market.
The first "Electromagnetic Positioning System" in China - MAGPILOT was self-developed and officially released.
Certified with ISO 13485.
2023

Taking the lead in formulating 2 group standards for "Near-Infrared Optical Positioning System".
2022

Certified with ROHS, REACH, CE, and medical equipment testing.
Established "Surgical Robot Joint Laboratory" with South China University of Technology. Moved to 3600m² new industrial park.
2021

Completed 50 million CNY of the Pre - A round of funding. Establish cooperative relations with mainstream enterprises in the industry.
2020

Completed the development of surgical navigation system prototype and the construction of surgical robot technology platform.  
2019

The first "near infrared optical positioning system" in China - Aim Position was self-developed and officially released. Pass through research and development of intellectual property management, management system certification.  
2018
